Bill’s Service Station, Jasonville
Greene County, 1992

Jasonville is a small city in northwestern Greene County Indiana. Formerly a booming mining town , it is known as the “Gateway to Shakamak,” a state park that is three miles away. This service station was trying to hold on as the mega convenience stores were starting to corner the market. The extra large 35 on the Dr. Pepper machine appears to be advertising a very competitive price for pop, and the machine was open 24/7! The rubber line that triggered a bell when someone pulled in was still in use so this must have been one of the last full service stations in the area.
