The Way Of The Cross Church, Tennyson
Warrick County, 1995

Tennyson is a very small town in western Warrick County. I expect that this church was a local project, a one of a kind endeavor. And I suppose that the white four door Cadillac was the Reverend’s ride. The crosses were darkly painted. I found that interesting as I’ve noted that crosses on most small churches are painted white. There is no parking lot, just the grass and a little gravel. The hand written signs show the upcoming services and events. In this small scene there exists much symbolism about the perils of organized religion and the role it can play in a struggling community.
